As I continue to learn more about using Godot, my Udemy course took me through building a tower defense game. It was really fun to work on, and I am really enjoying the course! It was interesting though, that at the end of this segment, for the tower defense game, that it was very unpolished. There was no audio, no special effects, and just generally things that we covered in the first segment (Project Boost) were not implemented here in this game segment, which I thought was odd.

However, that didn’t stop me from adding those things on my own!

I borrowed from Project Boost, and took the rocket explosion animation and audio, and added that to the barbarians when they reach the castle, causing a fire like explosion to show the damage that they are doing. I also took the rocket booster smoke from Project Boost and added it momentarily to the cannons when they fire, giving it a nice black powder cannon look. Adding a sound for the cannon fire was also a must, so I threw that in as well.
